KITSILANO is a tall and correct filly that combines the international sensation Kannan on the sire side with the legendary Beach Boy on the dam side, this young horse will excel in the jumper or hunter ring. Sure to mature to a good size with plenty of talent and a calm, bold disposition, we can look for this filly in the international ring.
Sire: KUMANO is by the legendary KANNAN, the only stallion to be ranked in the WBFSH top 12 for 10 consecutive years. Kannan’s own performance at the international level and of his offspring have proved him to be one of the most prepotent jumping sires in the world. His son, Kumano is bringing this potent pedigree of Voltaire, Nimmerdor, Landgraf, Gotthard, and Furioso to Canada. An FEI level competitor in his own right his offspring are making their mark in the jumper ring as well.
Dam: BEACH LADY is a 17 hand main mare book broodmare with elegance and size. She has a strong international pedigree featuring the Hanoverian L line combined with the famous French blood of Zeus. She is an outstanding example of the modern Warmblood.

Adelaide sold as a nicely started 4-year old at the 2006 Fall Classic Breeders Sale. Shelby Edwards competed with Adelaide in Thermal this past winter scoring double clear all week in the 1.30 classes, winning two of them and placing 3rd in the other. She placed 4th in the 1.20 Classic due to an unfortunate rail at the last jump in the jump off, but redeemed herself in the 1.30 modified Grand Prix by winning the class despite thunder and lightning during the jump off!
