Don Oberg is a multi-award-winning auctioneer in Canada and the U.S. and is from Rimbey, Alberta.
He was a two-time runner up before being crowned the Canadian Livestock Auctioneer Champion in 2003 and is the only two-time winner of the Jim Raffin Memorial award for Professionalism/Congeniality as voted on by Canadian Livestock Auctioneers. Don is the only Canadian to be selected six years consecutively to compete in the U.S. World Livestock Auctioneering Championships and was North American district 3 Reserve Champion in 2004. Don is the first and only ever Canadian Auctioneer invited to compete in the U.S. National Auctioneer Championships in Mercer, Pennsylvania in which he placed in the top four. He has also been three-time top ten at the International Livestock Auctioneer Championships at the Calgary Stampede. He has not participated in competitions since 2006 due to his busy calendar.
Don sells many purebred livestock production sales and performance equestrian auctions across Western Canada. He regularly sells for Manheim Auto Auction, Osman Auctions (auto/heavy equipment) as well as contract auctions for various firms in Alberta and Saskatchewan selling farm sales, antique/collectibles, and classic cars. Despite his busy schedule, Don sells as many charity/fundraiser auctions as he can manage as a thank you to his clients and their communities. His professionalism, energy, and enthusiasm certainly bring huge benefits to these organizations and have made him one of the most sought after auctioneers in Western Canada.
