Sire: URYBALDI was imported to Canada in 1994 and
in 1995 was the CWHBA Alberta Chapter 5/6 year old Jumper Champion. URYBALDI's dam, ARTEMIS, was an elite broodmare
at the Swiss State Stud. URYMATE
DE STE HERMELLE, URYBALDI's sire, was imported to Canada in 2000 and is
listed in the 2000 German Yearbook of Breeding with two successful sons. URYMATE is a descendent of ALME. In 2001 Horse Sport published an article on
the Einsiedler Horse of Switzerland.
Currently there are two families of mares at the monastery, the
Quarta and Klima families, which can be traced back to 1860-1880. There are three stallions descended directly
from these mares. URYBALDI is
of the Quarta family. The modern
Einsiedler is described as 16-17hh, usually bay or chestnut, bold, intelligent,
willing and versatile, correct movement with impulsion and cadence. Dam: SENTA is a CWHBA mare who has produced a number
of premium quality foals. SENTA
is an IRIS DE NOTRE DAME daughter tracing back to FURIOSO. On her dam side, she traces back to ROUND TABLE. Notes: SOLEIL represents the modern Einsiedler. In addition, her pedigree includes two crosses to FURIOSO, both through sons. On inspection she received a premium score of 7, with 8's for Breed and Sex Type and General Impression and Development. Her comments included: beautiful neck, nicely laid back shoulder. SOLEIL received six weeks of riding as a three year old prior to joining the brood mare band. She has produced two quality colts, both with easy going dispositions and great conformation. SOLEIL was bred to DONNER BUBE on July 21, 2003 for her foal of 2004. The bloodlines of DONNERHALL and PIK BUBE have been crossed with FURIOSO II bloodlines to produce many international sport horses. SOLEIL is suited to a continued career as a brood mare or a jumping career of her own. |
