Sire:  WAGNER is a son of the well known WENDEKREIS, from the Hanoverian F/W-line remarkable for jumping abilities that continued through each generation.  WAGNER carries, through his dam, the blood of the immortal GOTTHARD.  GOTTHARD raised the standards for the Hanoverian breed as the sire whose offspring won the largest sum of money in the show jumping arena.  He was also the producer of the largest number of Grand Prix show jumpers at the time.  WAGNER was Champion Stallion of his year and remained in Germany, standing at the State Stud, until he had produced 6 approved sons and over 600 foals.  WAGNER then was brought to his owners, Spruce Meadows, where he produced many more superior sport horses.

Dam:  AQUINA is a lovely mare, with excellent conformation, powerful flowing movement, beauty and athleticism.  She is sired by ANFORAN, who was a Spruce Meadows long standing Thoroughbred stallion approved for the Hanoverian breed.  He competed successfully in the Hunter division, winning championships in conformation and working hunter classes at numerous shows.  ANFORAN produced a number of talented offspring for both jumper and dressage, including ABADAN, who competed as a speed horse for Laura Balisky in Gothenburg, Sweden and was her reserve horse for the World Cup finals in Paris in 1987.

Notes:  WYNDIRA, aka DEARA, is a rare find. This branded Hanoverian mare is light, elegant, and well balanced.  This combination of breeding, which is hard to find today, has produced size, disposition and athletic ability.  She is a real eye catcher, who is a dream to ride.  DEARA would be well suited for the dressage ring with her color and movement; however, she has the power and the pedigree to be an outstanding jumper.  As well, she would be an extraordinary addition to an elite broodmare herd.  You decide - the sky is the limit with WYNDIRA!
