Sire:  Now deceased, ARKANSAS leaves an amazing legacy as the first Stallion entered in the CWHBA Stud Book.  His offspring in Canada and Germany have competed at the highest levels in both jumping and dressage.  Horses such as World Cup jumper, ALIBI under Erynn Ballard, and PICASO under Canadian Dressage Team rider, Nancy MacLachlan, have led the way, while numerous others have been Regional and Provincial dressage Champions, Hunter champions in Canada and the USA, Three Day Event Champions, foal futurity winners, conformation champions and performance test champions.  In Germany, where he stood for a relatively short time, his offspring have amassed 200,000 DM in competition earnings, and his grandson Escudo I is a leading sire of jumping horses.  ARKANSAS is noted for passing on smooth gaits, excellent jumping technique, an elegant top line and good rideability.

Dam:  AVRIL BAY, the dam of several foals by ARKANSAS, is a smaller mare by the Hanoverian stallion ABRUPT.  She passes on his excellent disposition and rideability to her offspring, which have competed very successfully under amateur riders in hunter competition.

Notes:  ALBANY II is a very attractive gelding with lots of presence.  He is an ideal amateur / junior hunter or jumper type with superior jumping technique and scope.  He moves with suspension, giving him possibilities in the dressage ring as well.  His siblings have been champions in both performance and conformation competitions.
