Sire: Former member of the Hanoverian State Stud
"Prussian" Quadrille, ARKANSAS has produced conformation and
performance champions in both Germany and Canada. Noted for his elegant top line and excellent rideability, he is
a prepotent sire passing on his type and ability to his children and grandchildren.
Grandsons, ESCUDO I (Champion Hanoverian Stallion) and EDGAR (WBFSH
7 year old Champion) are keeping his name in the forefront in Europe where
his direct offspring have earned nearly 200,000DM.
The winning tradition of ARKANSAS offspring continues with four
year old AZAR's 5th place win in the Jumper Development Championships
at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto and ALIBI's 2nd place in the Talent
Squad Series. ARKANSAS has the
largest number of registered CWHBA offspring and is the leading money
earning foal futurity sire. Dam: TREASURES OF TUDOR, a successful "A"
circuit hunter, has produced three outstanding offspring with another
on the way. Her youngsters all
have her wonderful, quiet and sensible mind, and are easy to handle and
train. She is a very attractive
Thoroughbred mare with very good substance.
This mare's bloodlines, through her sire and back many generations,
sport a fantastic array of notable performance horses: TUDOR GLEEMAN, sire to TUDOR BOUQUET (also
in the CWHBA stud book and dam to FOCUS, who has been showing great promise
in jumpers); TUDOR MINSTRAL, sire of LAURIES CRUSADOR, an extremely important
'refining' sire in Hannover, and a producer of real dressage talent; OWEN
TUDOR, influential in performance horse circles right around the world;
and of course, HYPERION, one of history's great foundation stallions. Notes: AFTER MIDNIGHT was imprint trained as a youngster,
making his everyday handling a pleasure.
He was started lightly as a three year old and then left to grow
for a few months before embarking on his fulltime training. A comprehensive training program commenced in January 2003, in preparation
for his start in the show ring. The
basics of straight and forward, have now been augmented with lateral work,
flying changes, and jumping exercises, including grids and basic courses.
AFTER MIDNIGHT has the elevated movement and reach of stride to
succeed at upper level dressage, and the impressive power in his hind
to excel in show jumping or eventing. |
