Sire: SIMPLY SM, is Spruce Meadows' newest stallion.
He placed 4th overall in the 100 day test in Germany in 1999, with
a score of 119.33 in dressage and 131.39 in jumping, resulting in an impressive
Class 1 registration. SIMPLY SM competed successfully in the Preliminary
Jumper level with championship results. SIMPLY SM stands 17hh, and passes
on his size, so his colts are tall, well boned horses with good conformation
and great movement. Dam: ANDREA is a lovely mare with excellent gaits,
including an absolutely floating canter. Her sire, ANFORAN, was Spruce Meadows' long standing Thoroughbred
stallion approved for the Hanoverian breed. He competed successfully in
the hunter division, winning championships in conformation and working
hunter classes at numerous shows. ANFORAN
produced a number of talented offspring for both jumper and dressage,
including ABADAN, ridden by Laura Balisky, who competed as a speed horse
for Laura in Gothenburg, Sweden and was her reserve horse for the World
Cup Finals in Paris in 1987. ANDREA's
mother, WEYNESTA, was sired by the great WENDEKREIS, one of the top Sires
of Champions in the Hanoverian breed.
WEYNESTA's dam, LANESTA, was a daughter of LUGANO II by DER LOEWE
xx, who need no further introduction as the foundation of the 'L' line. Notes: SABRE is a big, friendly colt, almost 16hh,
with a good potential to reach 17hh.
SIMPLY SM is 17hh and ANDREA is 16.3hh, so SABRE is bred from size. SABRE has the great Hanoverian breeding of
WENDEKREIS and LUGANO on his mother's side, and SILVIO I breeding on his
sire's side. SABRE was started
under saddle on July 15/03 and is going quite well.
He is easy to catch and has been tied in a tie stall and turned
out daily. |
