Sire: WALDKOENIG is a 1983 German Approved and Licensed
Hanoverian with a 100 day test score of 101 points. His sire WENZEL I had 3 sons approved as breeding
stallions in Germany. WENZEL I's
full brother, WENZEL II, is the sire of the 1998 World Cup Dressage champion
WALK ON TOP. WOERMANN was Germany's
leading sire in the 'W' line in the 1980's producing both Dressage and
Jumpers. The WOERMANN and WENZELL
progeny are noted for their excellence in temperaments. PIA is by PIK KOENIG, the legendary German
sire whose pedigree also includes MARCONI, DON CARLOS, and ARGENTAN, 1996
Hanoverian Stallion of the Year. Dam: WESTPOINT carries powerful bloodlines for both
jumping and dressage. She is by
WODKA (aka YOUNG WOLFSBURG), who stood at Spruce Meadows and was an outstanding
jumper for them. WODKA is sire
of countless successful progeny, including CONCORDE, ridden by Chris Cappler
to more than 25 major wins and $350,000 in prize money, WIND FALL, ridden
by Hap Hansen to nearly $100,000 in lifetime earnings, and BAVARIA, one
of the top show hunters in North America.
WESTPOINT's dam, LIEGNITZ, is by Hanoverian approved DER LOEWE,
the most important Thoroughbred sire in German riding horse breeding. He sired the Olympic dressage horses LIOSTRO,
LOEWENSTERN and LUCKY BOY. Although
he sired only 5 graded sons, they went on to found a line through LUGANO
I, LUGANO II and LOWENSTEIN. Notes: WATUZI was green broke as a three year old
and is very willing. She was bred
as a three year old and has produced two foals to date. Her two offspring are big, beautiful movers. Her 3-year-old son is already standing 16.2hh
and her 2-year-old son by MEZCAL will mature to 17+ hands. There is lots of strength in these colts. Both have a big, swinging trot with a long
strided, uphill canter. WAYUZI
is bred to JUSTICE for an April 2004 foal.
This may be another NUREYEV in the making. |
