Sire: SAILOR BOLD is a son of BOLD LADDIE, a horse
that sired a good number of sport horses in Western Canada. His broodmare sire, SAILOR, is ancestor to
BEST SELLER, bronze medal eventer from the 1996 Olympics. Dam: The sire line of HONEY PAGE traces to HIS BABU,
a half-brother to the very influential MY BABU, and HONEYWAY, ancestor
to sport horses and National Hunt sires in Europe. Her dam is by BULL PAGE, ancestor to international level sport horses,
amateur eventers and champion hunters. Notes: SAILOR'S HONEY is a wonderful Thoroughbred
mare that went Premium at her inspection.
In conformation she scored 8's for her head, saddle position, and
croup. In her classification she
scored 8 for her breed and sex type, and a 9 for general impression and
development. This mare was a successful
race horse on the track earning over $7000 before injury forced her to
retire as a broodmare. SAILOR'S
HONEY produced MOCHACCINO, who sold for $20,000 at last year's Fall Classic. She is bred to ROYAL SENNA for 2004. ROYAL SENNA won first place at the 2000 Stallion
Inspections for the CWHBA and his offspring are eligible for the lucrative
CWHBA foal futurity. ROYAL SENNA
comes from the most successful dressage bloodlines in the world today.
In fact, his sire, RUBINSTEIN I was named 'Stallion of the Century'.
His dam has an equally impressive background as a direct descendant
of ARGENTAN. Both bloodlines have
produced a great number of world-class performance horses, including REMBRANDT,
World Cup Champion and Olympic Gold medallist, and AHLERIC, Dr. Reiner
Klimke's famous mount that also won World Champion and Olympic Gold. ARGENTAN produced over 100 state premium mares,
including two that were Germany's National Champion mares, one European
Champion mare, ARIELLE, and Mario desLaurier's famous mount, ARAMIS, winner
of the 1984 World Cup and Olympic Silver.
SAILOR'S HONEY and ROYAL SENNA should combine genetics to give
you that modern look of elegance, movement, and a kind disposition with
a bold and energetic attitude. She
is bred for an April 2004 foal. |
