Sire:  The keur sire, CALVADOS is bred from the best French performance stock.  CALVADOS had a very successful jumping career, ridden by Peter Geerink.  CALVADOS consistently passes on his jumping genes to his offspring.  He also passes size, good conformation, and a surplus of power, as well as a good use of the back.  CALVADOS' sire, URIEL, produced over 100 international show jumping horses.  CALVADOS' dam GOLD ROSE, was the three-year-old conformation champion of France, and, from 1979 - 1982, she jumped on the French team.  During her performance career she won the Paris and Madrid Grand Prix, and was second in the Grand Prix of Lisbon, Barcelona, and Hamburg.  In addition to CALVADOS, she went on to produce many top breeding and performance horses.

Dam:  N. Ruberth 9 is by WOLFGANG, by FARN.  FARN is one of the most influential foundation sires in the Dutch sport horse, known mostly for his daughters.  WOLFGANG began his career with an excellent performance test, scoring high in basic paces, dressage potential, and he excelled in the jumping section.  WOLFGANG passes both his movement and jumping talent to his offspring, siring countless national and international show jumpers and approved breeding stock.

Notes:  CALINKA VAN DE HERMITAGE was imported from Holland in 2002.  She is going to be very tall, is an exceptional mover and she has very good character.  These qualities, along with her solid jumping pedigree, make this filly a candidate to be a top performer as a jumper or in dressage.
