Sire: HERZZAUBER (approved American Trakehner, German Trakehner, German Hanoverian, German Oldenburg, and German Mecklenberg) was imported from Germany where he was Grand Championin Neuminster 1990 at his Kuering. He was 9th out of 79 horses at Adelheidsdorf, scored 122.31 points, with inspection comments such as: "Format of a Champion. Typy, noble, great lines, and optimum proportions. Impressive in his appearance. Always calm and superior in excellent self carriage ... an always swinging back that promises a great aptitude for dressage." In 1995, he was granted the title Candidate of Excellence. In 2000, he was granted Elite status by the German Trakehner based on the outstanding performance of his offspring. HERZZAUBER's offspring have been very successful, including the Reserve Champion Stallion at the 1994 Kuering, and the Grand Champion Young Trakehner Mare of Germany in 1996. HERZZAUBER has consistently proven himself as a competitor, but also a producer of great horses, consistently stamping his offspring with wonderful temperament and steady, rhythmical gaits

Dam: GREY VICTORIA, aka TORY, was a substantially built mare who raced, then retired sound and to a jumping career. Jennifer showed her as a Hunter/Jumper and won many classes and Championships.TORY retired to become a broodmare and had two HERZZAUBER foals. ZAN's full brother sold to Pennsylvania for a Young Rider who is competing in dressage. The wonderful temperament, conformation, and talent is also evident in ZAN's full brother. He, like many HERZZAUBER progeny, also had great aptitude in jumping

.

Notes: ZANCARA KF, aka ZAN, was started under saddle and lightly competed as a 3 year old. She then had two foals by our stallion, ODILON, and while in foal with her third, resumed training for 3 months in the fall of 2001. ZAN again showed her willingness to please, and without an objection, again excelled under saddle. Training was stopped in January 2002 as she was heavy in foal. At no timethough, did she object to being ridden. Training resumed after she foaled in spring 2002. ZAN has a wonderful temperament and a very good work ethic. She is very gentle to work with, and she learns very quickly. ZAN has a 'no fuss' approach to being ridden. She has beautiful movement and is a talented jumper. Although still fairly green, ZAN would be suitable for a junior rider who is working with a trainer, or she would suit a rider wanting to achieve upper level performance
