Sire: SAILOR BOLD is a son of BOLD LADDIE, a horse that sired a good number of sport horses in Western Canada. His broodmare sire, SAILOR, is ancestor to BEST SELLER (bronze medal eventer from the 1996 Olympics), HOROS (sire of numerous world class eventers) and is a horse Bruce Davidson seems to gravitate towards in the ancestry of his top eventers.

 

Dam: The sire line of HONEY PAGE traces to HIS BABU (a half-brother to the very influential, MY BABU) and HONEYWAY (ancestor to sport horses and National Hunt sires in Europe). Her dam isby BULL PAGE (ancestor to international level sport horses, amateur eventers and champion hunters)

Notes: SAILOR'S HONEY is a wonderful Thoroughbred mare that scored 2nd Premium at her mare inspection. In conformation she scored 8's for her head, saddle position, and croup. In her classification, she scored 8 for her breed and sex type and 9 for her general impression and development. This mare was a successful race horse, earning $7000 before injury forced her to retireas a broodmare. In this capacity she has excelled. SAILOR'S HONEY is an easy breeder and a good producer and I am keeping two of her offspring, a PACIFIC SUNSET 2 year old and POUR GAGNE colt. Her MATTGOLD 3 year old, bred to RIO GRANDE, is offered in this sale. SAILOR'S HONEY, bred on July 24, is confirmed in foal to ROYAL SENNA for a June 2003 foal. ROYAL SENNA won first place at the 2000 stallion inspections for the CWHBA and his offspring are eligible to the lucrative CWHBA Foal Futurity. ROYAL SENNA comes from the most successful dressage bloodlines in the World today. His sire, RUBINSTEIN I, was named Stallion OfThe Century earlier this year.
