Pedigree Reader

We are pleased to welcome Elaine Partington as our pedigree reader for our 8th Fall Classic Breeders Sale. Elaine currently owns and operates Ebon Stables, a boarding, training, and warmblood breeding facility. She also runs six shows a year, including the Mid-Summer Masters, at her high class show facility.

As a junior she earned her Pony Club A Level and won the O'Keef Jumper trophy. She has continued her winning ways at most major western Canadian shows. In her training career, she has selected and developed many good-selling horses; including developing and selling a three-day horse that competed for the Japanese Team at the Montreal Olympics.

Elaine is now a Level 3 Coach in Hunter, Jumper, and Equitation. She coaches many good juniors, including Canadian Olympic Dressage Team member, Gina Smith. Her expertise has her teaching clinics all over North America. Her input will be invaluable to us all and we are thrilled to have her on the team!

Announcer

2002 marks the 5th anniversary for Steve Dalgleish announcing the CWHBA Alberta Fall Classic Breeders Sale. "What has become a tradition", Steve says, has introduced him to many wonderful people and beautiful Warmblood horses, and he is proud to say each and every year he learns a little more. Originally asked to announce the show while taking English riding lessons from Mara Coote-Freeman, Steve decided his best Centered Seat is on the Announcer's Stand. Mara insists that he does pretty well on the horse, too.

Steve is born and raised Calgarian, has always been interested in horses, but only 4 years ago was in the position to purchase his first genius, "Kasey". Steve is quite involved in all aspects of livestock show announcing, from horse shows (4H Shows, Westerner Spring Show, Didsbury Light Horse, Olds/District Light Horse, and more…), cattle shows, the odd sheep show and many rodeos. Steve has worked in Radio for 8 years and his main goal is to be a professional rodeo announcer, but, as his mentor Bill Kehler said, "A good rodeo announcer doesn't announce rodeos, he announces anything he can get a Mic to."

Steve also wants to wish all, buyers and sellers, the best in everything you do, and enjoy the Fall Classic Breeders Sale. We are pleased to have him join us again this year and we are sure he will add to your enjoyment of the Sale.
