Sire:  RADJAH Z combines the famous bloodlines of RAMIRO Z and ALME Z which produced such stars as ROYAL FLASH Z, RAMALGO Z, RAME Z and REBEL Z, Olympic silver medallist.  RADJAH Z placed sixth out of 74 in the Medingen Stallion Test with a score of 129.73.  He then sired RANGOON who, in 1992, became the clear winner of the stallion performance test in Warendorf.

Dam:  MAGGIE, a rich chestnut mare, is an ideal Warmblood with a wonderful temperament, good bone, and nice relaxed stride.  Her sire, MAJOR WON, is a grandson of NORTHERN DANCER, and has sired many successful young performance horses.  Her dam, PHOEBE, is by the Westfalen stallion, PARCOURS, by the great performance sire, PARADOX I, who played an extremely important role in the development of the Westfalen breed and its outstanding record as a source of competition horses.

Notes:  RAFIA is a striking bright bay filly with excellent conformation and a very kind, quiet temperament.  Her handling has included farrier, deworming, shots, trailer loading, blankets, sprays, clippers and bathing.  She has been started lightly in the round pen and has worn boots, surcingle and a bit.  She is used to being kept outside or in a stall.  RAFIA's pretty face and gentle temperament make her a lovely prospect as a riding horse or a broodmare.  Her nomination to the Canadian Performance Futurity is current.
