FERRO, Team Silver medallist 2000 Olympics and #1 in the BN World Stallion
rankings, with nine young stallions already licensed. This outstanding KWPN sire had a brilliant international dressage
career, as well as winning his stallion test in 1996 (first out of thirty).
In addition to his dressage brilliance, FERRO's show jumping pedigree
is dazzling, with his sire, ULFT by LE MEXICO (10th world jumping index),
and through his dam's sire, FARN (6th world show jumping index) and FARN's
son NIMMERDOR (2nd show jumping index).
Mesa Butte Ranches has used this stallion extensively and his quality
shows in his offspring. Dam: SCARLETT
is a German-bred Trakehner mare that was selected for her outstanding
movement and conformation to be part of the broodmare band of Dr. Woelfel,
DVM, and was imported to Canada to that end.
FAROL is SCARLETT's only legacy as a tragic pasture accident prematurely
ended her career. Notes: FAROL
was started in the early spring of 2003 and ridden extensively on trails
during the summer months. FAROLšs
early education also included going to a show and being introduced to
flat and over fences classes. This
summer, FAROL has taken part in the regular lessons at ST Stables summer
horsemanship program, and has worked very well for intermediate junior
riders, both flat and over fences. His
elastic gaits, rideability and thorough basic education make him an excellent
choice for someone looking to gain the competitive edge.
