Sire: POPEYE
K boasts the best of Dutch show jumping bloodlines - by the incomparable
VOLTAIRE by FURIOSO II, who has influenced the breeding industry worldwide
with 200 state premium mares and 70 approved sons.
VOLTAIRE had the most offspring compete at the 1996 Olympic Games
and is second in the WBR of show jumping sires.
POPEYE's dam is by the G. RAMIRO Z son, RONALD. G. RAMIRO Z is an icon of show jumping pedigrees
with sons and daughters at the international level. Also producing top show jumpers is the sire
of POPEYE's grand dam, FARN by the world famous pref NIMMERDOR. With a pedigree like this, it is no surprise
that POPEYE K was awarded 9's and 10's at his CWHBA approval. He was ridden by Ian Miller and won the 2000
Governor Generals Cup. Since his
sale to the USA, he has been gathering the Hunter Championships on the
Palm Beach circuit and is now only available for breeding by Frozen semen. Dam: Treasure
really does describe KD to a Tea. K.D.'S
TREASURE is a very attractive mare with a good head and neck and wonderful
gaits with lots of swing and elasticity. She had a P2 score at her CWHBA inspection the young age of seventeen.
Typey and compact, she was quick and maneuverable as a junior show
mount, but it is as a broodmare that she has really shone.
Her pedigree contains the jumping producers NORTHERN DANCER, TANTIENE,
NEVER SAY DIE, and SWAPS, to name only a few.
Bred for hardiness and stamina, she produced consistent quality
and type with correct conformation with rideable temperaments. Notes: Stunning
is the best word to describe FAIRMIAH.
She is beautifully balanced and correct and has elastic gaits with
good drive from an active hind leg. Her
conformation is flawless and she goes down the chute wonderfully, as one
would expect of her pedigree. FAIRMIAH
is a perfect example of the modern sport horse; elegant, uphill conformation,
and full of type. She has been
started longeing and ground driving, as well as experiencing everything
else her age will allow. FAIRMIAH,
with such beauty and talent, will win for you
in the hunter or jumper ring for many years to come, with the long
range future prospect of producing a legacy of talented offspring that
say "Look at me!". |
