Sire: BAJAZZO combines the legendary GRANDE blood
with the top dressage Thoroughbred sire, BARSOI, producing very athletic
and rideable horses. Superlatives
abound when one considers this Oldenburg stallion.
His great disposition and tremendous walk provide the foundation
for producing winning athletes such as SOUTHWIND, Five year old Jumper
Champion at the 2002 Royal Winter Fair, and BEAU SOLEIL, top three year
old stallion at the inaugural CWHBA Stallion Performance Test.
BAJAZZO has produced a multitude of auction horses, a high portion
of which have gone to the USA, including BACCHANALIA, BON HOMME, BEHOLD,
BILBO BAGGINS, BRONX, BREEZE and BALSTA.
These, and others like BOOGIEMAN and BOUNTIFUL, are demonstrating
their bravery and scope in hunter and jumper competitions throughout Canada
and the USA. BAJAZZO’s bold attitude, which made him fearless
on the three-day event course in Germany, is passed on to his offspring.
His dressage capabilities are not to be overlooked, with CWHBA
2002 High Point Dressage Horse BARBAROSSA to his credit. Dam: APPARITION was a Canadian bred Warmblood mare
whose dam line produced bold, very rideable, athletic horses. She was half sister to former auction horse
BEHOLD, by BAJAZZO, a jumper, currently competing with great success in
the USA, and dam of the 2001 Fall Classic Breeders’ Sale High Selling
Horse, BOOGIEMAN. Notes: BLYTHE SPIRIT is a tall, very attractive mare
showing lots of blood in her appearance.
Taking after her full brother, BOOGIEMAN, she is well mannered
and easy to work around. She is
responsive, but not too sensitive, and accepts a variety of riders. Her show record speaks for itself: Ocala Florida 2003 - two seconds,
a third and a fifth in young jumper 5yr old division; Caledon 2003 - three
firsts low jumper; Cornerstone and Palgrave 2003 - third, fifth, sixth
and ninth in section one jumpers. She
is very bold, like her sire, and shows good scope. She does have good gaits and with the proper training could be a
very satisfactory amateur dressage horse.
Over all, BLYTHE SPIRIT is a very nice horse, one that will please
an amateur or junior owner who wants looks, manners and athletic ability. |
