is a great grandson of the legendary GOTTHARD. On the dam side, the impeccable lineage of DARLING, TRAPPER, and
TRAUMGEIST combine to deliver elegance, conformation, quality, athleticism,
and above all, performance. GALLIPOLI
is appealing with excellent temperament and character. A very good jumper with excellent movement in all three gaits, this
stallion has been the choice of serious jumper and dressage breeders for
quality performance and rideability. Dam: MAGGIE, a rich chestnut mare, is an ideal Warmblood
with a wonderful temperament, good bone, and nice relaxed stride. Her sire, MAJOR WON, is a grandson of NORTHERN
DANCER, and has sired many successful performance horses. Her dam, PHOEBE, is a Canadian born mare by
the Westfalen stallion, PARCOURS, by the great performance sire, PARADOX
I. PARADOX I (1964) and his full
brother PARADOX II (1970) by PAPAYER, played an extremely important role
in the development of the Westfalen breed and its outstanding record as
a source of competition horses. Two
of MAGGIE's offspring, including a full sister to ENCORE, have taken their
place in the Aspelund Ridge broodmare band due to their outstanding conformation
and temperament. Notes: GRETZKY AR is a bright chestnut gelding.
He has a great personality and an inquisitive and bold attitude.
GRETZKY was started under saddle as a three year old and is currently
training First and Second level dressage movements. He was shown at National dressage shows as a four and five year
old and received very good scores in both Training and First level. He
is very sensible and confident, enjoys working, and has very good lateral
work and an excellent canter. GRETZKY
shows good ability and confidence in the chute and has done some basic
under saddle jumper training. He
would excel as an Eventer with his ground covering stride, as well as
having FEI potential in the dressage world.
He would suit a junior or adult amateur looking for a talented
prospect with some size. |
