Sire:  MJ PAX is a recently licensed five year old stallion.  At the 2002 CWHBA licensing, PAX received a 9 on his canter and 9 on his jumping.  At a 2002 material class, the judges commented, "This colt can win at high level dressage or jumping.  A very good athlete".  His first two shows out in 2004, he was Champion and Reserve Champion in Hunter divisions.  This very nice stallion is quite similar to Ian Millar’s ROULETTE in pedigree and talent.  PAX has a very strong jumping pedigree.  His sire is FANTAST,  paternal half brother to BIG BEN, who won over $1.5 million on the show jumping circuit and was inducted into Canada's Sport Hall of Fame in 1996.  PAX's half brother, ROULETTE, was winner of the Denmark Grand Prix, 2nd in the Hamburg Grand Prix, many top 10 finishes in European Section.  He had a double clear that helped Team Canada win the Gold at the 1998 Royal Winter Fair.  On FANTAST's dam side is IBRAHIM, the producer of many international jumpers including ALME Z, a popular jumping sire.  PAX's dam is by RATIBOR, a paternal brother to RAMIRO Z, whose offspring are leading winners in the International Jumping ring.

Dam:  OLDS FURSTEN never competed due to injury, but comes from very successful lines on both the sire and dam sides.  Her sire, WERMISZEL, has a record of producing very successful horses for hunter, dressage and jumper.  He was awarded the 1990 NATA Adre Schravesande Memorial Trophy for outstanding contribution to the Trakehner breed in North America, as well as the 1990 North American Trakehner Association Stallion of Merit Award.  Her dam, PRINCESS LOVE, has also produced several successful offspring in hunter, jumper and dressage.  OLDS LOVE SONG, also by WERMISZEL, was shown as TRANQUILLE to Basic 3/4 Champion in Calgary.  OLDS SUPER SPOT was a Champion in the Hunter ring.  OC HOT LOVE, as a broodmare, produced several winning horses including SILENT PARTNER (hunt seat equitation) and AMARETTO (jumper).  FURSTEN has a 6-year-old son, DANTE, who is competing in both the hunter and jumper ring with his amateur owner. Her 4-year-old son, PARIS is competing in his first year baby green hunter and was division Champion first show out.

Notes:  TYR is a very flashy, tall gelding with lots of chrome and a flaxen mane and tail.  He will be hard to miss in the show ring.  He has excellent technique and scope over fences, leading toward a promising hunter career.  TYR has a very sweet and easygoing disposition and is a very quick learner.  His nominations to the Canadian Young Horse Performance Futurity are current.  This is a horse who should not be overlooked.
