Sire: VAULTAIR is an elegant Hannoverian with an
ideal topline. His tremendous
movement, combined with excellent jumping talent, scored the top marks
at the 1999 CWHBA Stallion Licensing.
VAULTAIR's pedigree combines the best performance bloodlines in
the World; VOLTAIRE, FURIOSO, GOTTHARD, CALYPSO, and COR DE LA BRYERE
- from the same family as ALTAIR and PLAY IT AGAIN.
VAULTAIR's sire, VOLTAIRE, was ranked 9th in the top 50 sires in
the ten years from 1991 to 2000, and was represented by an impressive
28 jumpers in the World Breeding Federation for Sporthorses standings
for 2000/2001. VAULTAIR's dam, CORA, is by CALYPSO II, a Holstein stallion by COR
DE LA BRYERE. CALYPSO II was also
an international show jumping competitor.
Dam: BLUE KALYPSO showed promise in dressage before
an unfortunate accident cut her career short. In her first dressage event, she scored 8's on her walk and canter
work and had a commendable score of 70% on her first freestyle. KALYPSO has an unbeatable temperament, which
she has passed on to her son, VIKTOR.
KWPN stallion PATRICK appears in her lineage and he was an international
caliber show jumper, as well as being in the top 10 of sires of international
dressage horses of America in his day.
PATRICK was also well known for producing quality broodmares.
Notes: VIKTOR is a flashy Chestnut colt with personality
plus, showing bold powerful movement and a strong top line. He will stand out in a crowd and his correct
conformation and look-at-me attitude makes him a very special package.
VIKTOR has a charming, friendly personality
and likes to socialize. He has
been raised in a herd environment with daily handling and is familiar
with having his hooves trimmed, trailering and the stall environment. He is currently shedding his foal coat to a
deep chestnut colour with four stockings, a blaze and a flaxen mane and
tail. His pedigree includes well-known
jumping bloodlines such as VOLTAIRE, CALYPSO II, COR DE LA BRYERE, GOTTHARD,
FURIOSO II and PATRICK. VIKTOR
comes from a family of international show horses.
Some of these family members include Beth Underhill's ALTAIR, Ian
Miller's PLAY IT AGAIN, Jos Lansink's CONCORDE, Emile Hendrik's FINESSE
and also a member of the bronze medal winning US dressage team in Sydney,
Guenther Seidel's FOLTAIRE. Given
VIKTOR's strong jumping bloodlines and correct conformation, he should
exel in this discipline. Given
his long striding walk, expressive trot and powerful canter, he would
suit a dressage career as well.
