Nominations
All
nominated horses may be subject to drug testing and all
owners agree that by nominating their horse(s) they will
allow their horse(s) to be tested according to the CEF,
Alberta Zone Medications Control Committee, Chapter XV.
· All sale horses, except pregnant mares, must
have current vaccinations for E and W Encephalitis, Tetanus,
Flu, and Rhinonumonitis. Pregnant mares must have current
vaccinations along with Pneumabort at 5, 7, and 9 months
gestation. A veterinarian must verify all shots.
· A Coggins Test is required for all horses.
· Xrays are required for all horses age 3 and over.
For all other horses Xrays are optional.
· All information and representations are the sole
responsibility, and made on behalf of, the seller.
· The seller warrants that each horse consigned
to the sale is free and clear of all liens and encumbrances.
· Each nominated horse must successfully complete
an insurance equivalent physical examination, including
musculoskeletal, eye, respiratory, and heart. This is
not a complete pre-purchase exam.
· Each nominated horse is required to successfully
undergo a pre-sale inspection by a Selection Committee,
including the Sale Veterinarian. All consigned horses
must be presented to the Selection Committee in hand,
and will be evaluated for health, basic soundness, and
turnout.
· Pregnant mares must have proof of pregnancy check
within 21 days prior to the sale. A barren mare will not
be excluded, but veterinary substitutions for barren mares
will be accepted at the option of the consignor.
· Weanling age foals offered for sale may be shown
at the foot of their dam.
· Show quality turnout will be strictly enforced.
· The auction committee reserves the right to refuse
or withdraw any horse from the sale without refund or
liability to anyone.
