Chairmans Message:
Welcome to the
10th Anniversary of the Fall Classic Breeders' Sale. A dream
that began 11 years ago, to create a European style Warmblood
Sale, shared by key members of the Alberta Chapter of the
Canadian Warmblood Horse Breeders' Association came to fruition
with the first sale in 1995. The event has continued onward
and upward for the past 10 years. The breeders and consignors
have continually increased the quality and training offered.
Horses purchased from this Sale have gone on to perform
for their new owners. A few examples include:
Abdula, bred and consigned by Gould Ranching and purchased
by Helen Slate won 2003 USDF Horse of the Year honors
MJ Atlanta, bred and consigned by MJ Farms, purchased by
Dan French, is winning 1.2m jumpers
Bountiful, bred and consigned by Touchstone Farms, is winning
in the hunter ring
Contessa, purchased by Aspelund Ridge Warmbloods, is competing
in dressage with Sheri Bresee and winning in the dressage
ring
Major Rocks, bred and consigned by Jane Jones, purchase
by Carolyn Sinclair, is winning in the amateur 1.1m jumpers.
Gaffer, bred and consigned by Al and Joan Young, won Pre-Green
Hunter Champion on the Florida circuit
Paris, bred and consigned by Heather Osterhout, won Baby
Green Hunter Champion.
Last
year, the 2003 Sale saw a new high when Rolex, a licensed
stallion bred and consigned by Rudiger Dupierry, sold for
$38,000 to Holly Dietz to stand at stud in New Mexico. This
year's consignment has two stallion prospects, age 2 and
3, on offer, and includes many siblings of champions from
past Sales that could repeat the successes of the bloodline.
There is also an excellent selection of foals with pedigree
and qualifications to notice and select as future breeding
stallions or mares and performance animals.
This
anniversary year consignment has a line-up of potential
champions available for you. Come and enjoy the sale, buy
with confidence, and get your new horse to love and compete.
Best
wishes,
Jennette Coote
