Sire:

WAGNER is a son of the immortal GOTTHARD. GOTTHARD raised the standards for the Hanoverian breed as the sire whose offspring won the largest sum of money in the show jumping arena. He was also the producer of the largest number of Grand Prix show jumpers at the time. WAGNER was one of his first licensed sons and was Champion Stallion of his year. He remained in Germany, standing at the State Stud, until he had produced 6 approved sons and over 600 foals. He then was brought to his owners, Spruce Meadows, where he produced many more superior sporthorses.

Dam:

ANDREA is a lovely mare with excellent gaits, including an absolutely floating canter. Her sire, ANFORAN, was Spruce Meadows' long standing Thoroughbred stallion approved for the Hanoverian breed. He competed successfully in the hunter division, winning championships in conformation and working hunter classes at numerous shows. ANFORAN produced a number of talented offspring for both jumper and dressage, including ABADAN, ridden by Laura Balisky, who competed as a speed horse for Laura in Gottenburg, Sweden and was her reserve horse for the World Cup Finals in Paris in 1987.

Notes:

WINDSTAR is a lovely example of the Spruce Meadows ideal to produce top flight horses for the sport. She has superior movements and is built to jump. She is nicely started under saddle and shows quick intelligence and a willingness to learn. She is an attractive horse that will catch the eye of thejudge in the show ring.
