Sire: WODAN is a branded Hanoverian stallion who is registered with five different breed associations in
Germany. Prior to his export to Canada, he was a successful International Grand Prix jumper.
Among his victories is the prestigious win at the indoor Grand Prix in Vienna under Frankie Sloothaak.
WODAN has proven to be an excellent breeding stallion by siring several successful sport horses
including: WEMBLAY, WALHALLA, WALZER, TUSCALUSA, WALLENTINAL, and
WODYNA, all having competed at International Grand Prix level in jumping or dressage.
Dam: The Arabian portion of LADY DHIANNE’s lineage contains Polish horses noted for their athleticism
and trainability. In addition, several of those names are also found in the pedigrees of the internationally
ranked eventers AS and LAP BEJ, making LADY DHIANNE quite closely related to them. LADY
DHIANNE herself was a highly successful combined driving competitor with many wins and
championships to her credit. Her excellent disposition was demonstrated when someone went to get
her from the pasture and would return riding her bareback with just the halter! You could even guide
her without it if desired.
Notes: DR LOUIE is a true gentleman. A thoroughly likable youngster, he wants to be your friend. He is
easy to catch - he will likely catch you first. Lightly started as a two year old, LOUIE's training has
progressed well this year. He has a wonderful, forward moving, true 4 beat walk that covers a lot of
ground quickly. He has a great stride, moving well from the shoulder with a ground eating trot and
canter. He has been out on the trail and in the bush and is sensible and curious with a delightful
willingness to go wherever asked. He has never bucked or reared or shied. He is easy to ride with
other horses both in the ring, out in the field, or on the trail. He has good feet and behaves, as always,
like a gentleman for the farrier. LOUIE is a late maturing type and has not developed his full frame
nor height. He has a fantastic jump - be sure to watch this one jumping in the chute! Here is a well
mannered, steady gentleman who will be suitable for any rider.
