Sire: KINGSTON is a natural athlete with a very easy going manner and excellent mind. In his only season
at recognized CEF dressage competitions he received scores averaging 68%, including three 70+%
with good ribbons every class. In 2000 he competed in low and training jumpers up to 3'9" and is
schooling up to 4'6". He was consistently into the jump-offs and the ribbons. KINGSTON is by the
warmblood approved Thoroughbred sire, MARTIN’S WORRY, out of the Star Dutch mare
ARIENA, from the family of NATUREL keur, LUCKY BOY pref & KRISTAL pref. These are
families not only valued for their sport performance, but also for their sound constitution with breeding
values for both dressage and jumping. KINGSTON’s progeny to date include the hi-score mare of
the 1998 CWHBA National Inspection Tour, KRISTIANNA, with a 1st premium of 8.17 and the
1999 B.C. Foal Futurity winner with a premium score of 8.00.
Dam: ASPEN GROVE is a 16.1HH, 7/8 Thoroughbred mare. She competed to Preliminary level eventing
and since retiring has produced 6 foals including the 1999 National Tour B.C. Champion mare scored
a 1st premium 8.00 by Dr Lehmann. Her oldest foals are currently competing at Medium level
dressage and Hunters. Her dam, AUTUMN LEAVES competed to Advanced 3-day, retired sound
at age 10, and then produced 8 outstanding performance progeny. Her sire, PREBENS PRIDE was a
good stakes winner for Graham Ranches and is the sire of Open jumpers in the USA including 2 full
siblings to Aspen Grove. The full sister to her dam, SUMATRA, was a member of the 1971 Pan Am
Games Combined Training Gold Medal Team and was a 1976 Olympic Team member, placing 11th
individually.
Notes: KASANOVA is a very personable young horse with a willing attitude towards his training. He loves
people and attention and is currently lungeing with a bridle. He has exceptional movement, rhythm and
style, making him a great dressage, jumper or combined training prospect. Given the pedigree and
performance of his parents it is no surprise that he demonstrates natural ability for jumping.
KASANOVA is tall, well put together with a nice top line, compact build and powerful strong limbs.
He leads, ties, trailers and is good for the farrier. He was the 1998 CWHBA-B.C. Northern Division
Foal Futurity Champion. More extensive notes and photographs available at:
