Sire: GODEWIND is a grey Hanoverian stallion who is licensed with 3 breed associations. He received
the highest score of 121+ at his test. Godewind truly epitomizes the equine athlete - great jumping
ability plus excellent movement. As a sire, he has passed these desirable traits on to his offspring. In
Germany, GODEWIND'S progeny are already proving themselves in the Grand Prix ring. He comes
from the most famous of jumping lines - GOTTHARD, whose descendants have set the standard for
jumping ability, technique, and willingness on many international teams. His offspring have won over
$120,000,000.
Dam: A PRINCESS DAUGHTER is by the important stallion, ABRUPT. ABRUPT produced many
competition horses including successful jumpers like ARABELLE (Junior Jumping Champion at
Wonderland in 1984, member of the Gold Medal Young Riders Team from Quebec in the same year)
and TOUCHSDOWN (three time Canadian Three Day Event Champion and Olympic short list
horse, ridden by Bill Ulmer). ABRUPT was a direct son of the Hanoverian line founding Trakehner
stallion, ABGLANZ, who’s impact on warmblood breeding and Hanoverians in particular is
immeasurable. ABGLANZ blood can be felt through his sons such as ABSATZ, through to
ARGENTAN and ARAMIS, as well Olympic horse SLIBOWITZ and even to WELTMEYER and
the young prodigy ESCUDO I.
Notes: This well ridden gelding has three very good gaits and an exceptionally solid build and a constitution
that guarantees many years of maintenance free use. GRAF is the perfect partner for the person
wanting to do a bit of everything; he has competed in dressage, jumper, cross-country, even western
reining, whenever there was a spare spot in the trailer so mom could bring a horse along, too! He has
countless hours of mountain trail riding. GRAF has the potential to go past medium level in dressage
and his powerful jump would be competitive far above the basic levels where his former owner was
comfortable. If soundness is important to you, take a close look at this horse; you'll like what you see.
